Susie Monzingo

Susie Monzingo is an award winning artist and native Texan. She draws inspiration from nature. Even as a young child she was always creating and imagining on a Grand Scale. She began her art career later in life as a decorative painter, painting on furniture and murals in people’s homes. Susie gradually started painting in oils on canvas and learning from important teachers from all over the country, including Judy Gelfert, Patrick Saunders, Elizabeth Dillard, Nancy Boren, and Kim English. She is affiliated with the National League of Pen Women and the National Oil Painters Society

For 10 years, Susie worked painting murals for First Texas Model Homes and in private homes. For the last 13 years, she has been studying and painting oil on canvas.

“Being surrounded by Mother Nature brings enrichment to my life as well as reading uplifting books and quotations. If you receive joy from the beauty of the birds, artistry of flowers and inspiration from nature – We are kindred spirits! Life is too short not to be inspired and celebrated.” – Susie Monzingo
